Two big announcements!

At Christmas dinner we had two surprising announcements! My dad announced that he and his girlfriend, Emma, are getting married on New Year's Eve! My cousin Jeremiah and his wife, Jessica announced that they're expecting a baby in the fall. Congratulations!

I was so excited for my dad and Emma that Doug and I quickly scrambled and got ourselves plane tickets and a room in Vegas for New Year's Eve so we could be there to celebrate. I'm looking forward to our last-minute trip and hope my mom survives watching our two boys. We leave Tuesday night and come back Friday afternoon. Happy New Year!

Below you'll see a picture of my dad, Emma and me and one of Jessica and Jeremiah.

Christmas Evening

We had a lot of fun having dinner at my grandma's house for Christmas. We realized I've never taken a picture with my 3 cousins, so I got one of the four of us.

Christmas Morning

There are WAY too many cute photos from Christmas morning, but here are a few. There's also one of the boys at the Christmas Eve service at church. It was a fun, present filled morning!

Our Santa Baby

Isn't he CUTE?!

Nutcracker

My mom, Doug and I have been waiting until Chase was old enough to take him to the SF Ballet Nutcracker. We were so excited to experience it with him this year. What was almost as much fun was seeing his awe and amazement of the big city. He truly enjoyed the show and it was such a joy to have him experience this tradition. We can't wait until Cam is old enough to enjoy it with us!

More December Fun

We've been having lots of fun this month! Friday I dressed the boys up in their matching Christmas outfits and took them to see Santa. Chase LOVED it, he's been asking me all month when we could go see him. He asked Santa for a jetfighter for himself and a baby toy for Cameron.

The other day I put the boys in the bath together and they had so much fun. Cameron is truly a water baby, he'll roll around from his back to his belly in the water and just loves it. He doesn't mind getting water in his eyes, just as long as he's in the water. When he hears the bathwater turn on he gets so excited and just starts kicking his legs and smiling.

Christmas with our boys

My mom got the boys these adorable Christmas jammies. Here they are in front of our tree last night. Aren't they cute?!

Thanksgiving Part 2

The day after Thanksgiving we drove down to Fresno to be with Doug's family. We had lots of fun with Chase's cousins, aunts and uncles. We decorated cookies, played games, played football in the street (well, the dads and the boys did) and ate lots of good food. On Saturday night Doug's aunt, uncle and two of his cousins came with their kids for some family time. That house was packed full of people, it was loud, joyous and wonderful! Below you'll see a picture of David & Jack, me with Jack & Graham, Emily and Abbey, Abbey and Cam and Dennis with Cam.

Thanksgiving Part 1

We spent Thanksgiving Day at my Grandma's house in Petaluma. There was lots of family there and friends, too. Peg & Mike joined us as well as my dear friend Amanda from Arizona. She was in town for a few hours with her adorable daughter Hannah. It was really wonderful to be able to visit with them. My mom made and excellent turkey!

Chase's birthday party!

We had a joint birthday party with Chase's buddy Kyle on Saturday the 1st. It was at a party place called Kids Party Central. It's a big warehouse filled with jump houses, jump slides, climbing walls, ball pits and other craziness. The kids had an hour and a half to play (the adults played, too!) before we went into the party room for pizza and cake. We had a custom ice cream cake made for the boys with their picture on it. It was strawberry ice cream on Chase's side and vanilla on Kyle's side. I'm sure eveyone slept well that night, it was pretty exhausting, but very fun for the kids. Chase didn't want to leave and was sad when I told him he couldn't go back and play. Every year I buy Chase a new shirt from our cute little downtown store called Cupcake. This year I found matching ones for both Chase and Cameron. Chase loves it when he matches his brother, so it was pretty cute. Today is Kyle's actual birthday and tomorrow is Chase's. They'll be celebrating at school for the next couple of days as well. I can't believe my little boy is three!

Halloween

The morning of Halloween Chase dressed up as a cowboy and we went to his school parade and party. That evening he dressed up as Dumbo and Cameron as a frog and we did some trick or treating around the neighborhood. Thankfully the rain stayed away!

Trunk or Treat

Our church hosts an event called Trunk or Treat where we invite the community out to trunk or treat out the backs of our cars. Everyone decorates their cars and the kids have a good time. Oh, and there's a new sheriff in town!

Family party for Chase

We had a family dinner and birthday party for Chase while Doug's parents were in town. You would have thought it was Christmas with the amount of presents he got! We had a nice dinner down at GG's house in Petaluma. The next day Doug's parents joined us at church where the kids got to dress up for Halloween festivities.
